Why living your dream life is easier than you think

Fulfillment vs. Desire

You can have anything that you desire. But that does not mean that everything can fulfill you. We are taught to want the Lamborghini, the yacht, the big paycheck, the finished version of life. And it sounds logical: work hard, win the lottery, earn a lot of money, then buy the things. But that does not necessarily mean that it will make you fulfilled.

Listening to Your Intuition

Most of the time, the real difference is not the object. It is what you are listening to inside you. You can only know what really makes you fulfilled, when you listen to your intuition, and follow a path that is in alignment with it. And when you always chase money to buy new things, you never get the time to actually enjoy what you are doing and chase your dreams.

Redefining Freedom

Chasing your dreams does not necessarily mean becoming a millionaire. It could simply mean that you create more freedom, meaning you could save and invest so you become more independent and autonomous. It means that you become creative and think of different ways to create something and build revenue streams that do not drain you.

The Power of Simple Moments

We often think that products make us happy, but actually, it is the moments that we spend living life to the fullest that count. This could mean travelling, spending time with friends and family, or pursuing creative outles like art and music. But it can also be something very simple and very real, like the smell of pine on a long hike, the way the light hits the canvas when you are finally painting again, or the sound of a friend’s laugh over a late-night coffee. These moments usually do not require huge money. They require presence.

Finding Your Own “Why”

There are a lot of young people who are solely focused on money, and they are influenced by youtubers who make millions. I used to be one of them. I am not saying that there is something wrong with those youtubers, or with people who are trying to get there. But it can be very discouraging when you realize that your life was not meant to be just a copy of someone else’s highlight reel. And then, without even noticing, you start filling the empty feeling with noise: binge watching, scrolling for hours, or eating junk just to feel something.

Embracing Your Authentic Self

In the end, following your dreams is about being your authentic self. Your life is unique, and everyone has a unique style and creative expression. All it takes is to try, fail, and figure out your own style and expression. The hardest part is starting and getting things off the ground. But once you find your rhythm, it probably becomes one of the most enjoyable things to do.

Falling in Love with the Process

The reason why this works so well, is because when you are in love with the process, people get automatically attracted to it as well. And the thing I am trying to say is that we often believe that we need something extraordinary. A massive breakthrough. But progress comes in a thousand small steps, and the thing you are actually aiming for is momentum. Like choosing to walk to the park instead of sitting at your desk. Like writing one page, even when you do not feel ready.

The Trap of the Planned Path

Yet this path feels scary, because it is not fully planned. When you go to school, everything is structured. Everything is mapped out. You know how long it takes, what you study, and roughly what comes next. It feels save, but it can also make your life feel hollow. If everything is planned, it takes away all the light. There is no adventure anymore, no exploration, because everything is known and has been done.

Leaving Room for the Unknown

I am not saying you have to throw away all plans or responsibilities. But you do have to leave room for the unknown. Because that is where the newness lives. And the moment we step out of the planning, the known, the structure, is when we feel alive again.

Choosing Peace Today

Maybe living your dream life is not something that happens “later.” Maybe it is a choice you make on a random Tuesday. A choice to prioritize your peace over your possessions. A surrender to the path that is unfolding in front of you, where the infinite intelligence and creativity starts flowing through you. We do not have to strive in order to achieve it, we can simply accept it, simply be.
